Mega Xmas & New Year Giveaway : Picture Keeper

Being a Computer Information Systems major you would assume that I would think to backup important things like music, documents and especially photos. But unfortunately, I never remember and that has led to me losing a lot of photos. I’ve tried to keep things backed up using external hard-drives (which always end up getting dropped) and CD’s (which always end up getting scratched). What I need is something that is harder to break – like a flash drive.
Cue the Picture Keeper which makes backing up your precious photos completely idiot proof (hey look even I can use it!). All you have to do is plug this puppy

There are no special programs to download to your computer because everything is installed on the Picture Keeper. The photos are backed up and organized in their original folders so you can always find any photo you are looking for. This little gadget is amazing – trust me – I’m the one always (always) losing my photos!
The Picture Keeper comes in several sizes including 4GB (which saves around 4,000), 8GB (which will save around 8,000 photos) and the 16GB (which saves around 16,000 photos). I need one because I HATE going through the whole “transfer picture files to my computer and then to backup” process. Then whenever I want one, I have to FIND the backup drive somewhere, connect it all up again, and hunt! It’d be nice to have this with all my favorite photos on, easily available.

I need this because I’m addicted to taking pictures of my kids. I have a 3-year-old laptop that seems like it’s about to bite the dust, and when it does, a lot of my pictures may go with it. I try to upload them to Photobucket, but since I didn’t start doing this at the same time that I started taking pictures, I am waaaay behind and still have a lot – and I mean A LOT – of pictures to upload. This little gadget would make that job so much easier, and it would give me peace of mind knowing that if my computer dies before I finish uploading all my photos, I won’t have lost any beautiful memories.

Out of the last 12 months, I have lost about 9 months of pictures. With 3 small kids, that’s a lot of valuable memories lost. well where do i start.. this is a lot of memory on this slim stick.. i am sick and tired of pix of grandies on cds stacked up getting scratched when i go use one for a scrapbook page.. somehow it has a scratch..I could have all my photos on cds in a glass case.. security alarm and in a vault and i would still have a scratch.. i want one asap to save my kiddos and grandies … well all my photos.

I need one because I’m the idiot you’re talking out. I have so much trouble with anything technical that I touch. We also have 2 samll children & I’m a picture fanatic. We average 3,000 pictures a year. It’s ridiculious expensive – not to mention the albums, but they’re worth it. Thanks for the chance!

Oh man, I wish I had had this yesterday! I keep our pictures on an external hard drive. Day before last, it failed to power up, and I didn’t have an up-to-date backup available. The next day, thank goodness, it did power up, and I spent hours copying our pictures to disk to back them up. If I had a Picture Keeper, it would have been SO much simpler. I’d love to have one now, because I plan to do regular back ups from now on.

I would love to win this because about a year ago, my computer went bonkers and lost all my pictures of my youngest baby! I was so upset! I really need one, my laptop crashed and I lost all my photo’s from the last 2 years !!!! I didn’t back up !! I’ve learned my lesson and now I want to store them OFF the computer

I’ve had pics disappear before. The most important pics that I had, to that date. My wedding pictures. It was awful! All I have left are the scanned images of the pics I had printed from the photographer. Otherwise they’re all gone. I don’t want this to happen to all of the fabulous pics I’ve taken since, so I’d love a picture keeper!
