You wouldn’t believe how messy our house can be when the kids are around 24/7 during the school holidays. Sometimes, it can get near impossible to find the things that I need in a hurry. When you have children, you can guarantee there’s going to be clutter. From toys to clothes to games, the play room can resemble a colorful explosion if you don’t get organized.
So, during my recent vacation from work, I decided to fulfill my new year resolution in advance and get things organized. Thanks to DYMO, the creator of the LetraTag Personal Labelmaker, I can now pretty much find my nicely stacked stuff as they are now clearly labelled. Here are some organizing tips which can be put to good use if you have the LetraTag Personal Labelmaker:

Toys – Clear up the kids’ clutter by buying some color-coded bins. Place toys in one, games in another, and so on. Be sure to label each bin using your LetraTag Personal Label Maker so that you and your children know exactly what bin should hold what items.
- Books/Films/DVD/CD – Keep kids’ favorite movies, computer games, books, and other media in order by designating separate shelves on a bookshelf for each. Print labels with your LetraTag Label Printer and place them on the edge of each shelf to indicate which types of media go on what shelf.

Kids closets – Organize clothing by pieces that match and then indicate possible combinations with different colored labels. For example, all shirts that can be matched with certain pairs of trousers or skirts can be placed in a drawer or bin that bears that colored label.

I have this problem of my daughter’s clothings getting mixed up with the clothings of other kids at her daycare. The good news is I’ve just discovered that LetraTag Label Printers can help me eliminate this problem. I printed my child’s name on the 1/2″ iron-on labels that can be applied to the inside of the garment easily using an iron. Problem eliminated!

It looks like it would be easy to use and I could find many uses for it around the house.
