Snow White’s Seven Patches: A Vitiligo Fairy Tale is a modern-day story with the classical theme of good conquering evil. You’ll find the age-old ingredients of a magic mirror, poisonous apple, dwarfs, and romance here. However, this adaptation includes a vain mother who’s so clouded by beauty myths that she keeps her own daughter a secret, while plagiarizing the workings of her mind. Everything falls apart when the good mirror finally speaks the truth.

A Year of Jubilee Reviews – This is one of the very few stories that I have found that share Vitiligo with young readers. My daughter has had Vitiligo since she could remember, though her patches get more intense each year. Her patches are symmetrical and on most of her body. I liked that their was a ‘princess’ she could relate to in a story.
Yenjai – So I guess this is a book that need the involvement of parents. We need to sit down with our kids and explain those things. Stress to them what Ivy did was wrong. Snow White did not need to live in seclusion. There is nothing wrong to have vitiligo and yet live a normal life.
Bla bla bla – So, after reading the book, I tested JD, “so…..what do you say to someone that has Vitiligo?” And he replied “You have nice patches”.
A simple tale of love and friendship to warm your heart
Award-winning author and designer Shaila Abdullah teams up with her 10-year-old daughter Aanyah to bring you this heartwarming tale of a little girl who forms a close bond with a child with cerebral palsy. The girl finds that through her art, she can reach her special friend Suhana.
Reviewer Bla bla bla shared her thoughts on the book : What I really like the most is how the author encourages children to be nice to people and also suggest ways for the readers to help and cheer people up.
Teddy Bear Princess is a magical story for all times!
Unlike other fairy tales, the concepts of sharing and caring are seamlessly woven together. Teddy Bear Princess is a sweet, plush Royalty figure who deeply values her friendship with unicorn, Zumba. Luxury may be at her fingertips, but it’s Zumba whom she holds nearest and dearest. Together, this duo flies sky-high in their quests to give. Teddy Bear Princess is sure to delight children and fantasy-enthusiasts time-and-time again.
Our two reviewers from Australia had the opportunity to review Teddy Bear Princess and here’s what they had to say:
Our MKs – It is a nice tale of friendship with interwoven idea of sharing. My daughter likes it because she is smitten with Teddy Bears or anything with bears. *smiles* So it was an instant win the first time I showed her the book.
As I parent, I like the book because it shares positive concepts of friendship, sharing and caring. I think having these ideas in the book helps in teaching good values to young readers.
Rambling Moo – Author Jewel Kats has skillfully illustrate the simple idea of sharing and caring between two person. This book with beautiful and colourful illustrations by Richa Kinra Arts is suitable for any beginner reader as it is not too wordy. The simple meaning of caring and sharing with someone who are dear and close is woven smoothly in the story. It is definitely a good bedtime story for all young readers.
